Placebo @ Toronto, ON, Canada, Sound Academy, 10/15/14 (#placebogig151014)

The Toronto show was great, but one of Brian's guitars was mixed too loud all night and and it drove me nuts, LOL! He also had to get them to turn up his vocals, but the guitar never did get fixed. The set was the standard one they've been doing here in North America. Sooooooo happy Purify's been added!!! And it was nice to be treated to Twenty Years live again. :) Brian was quiet this evening, having reverted to shorter versions of his standard scripts for some songs & omitting them altogether on others. I was really hoping he'd have kept up his spontaneous dialogue beyond the first four shows of this leg. Other than that, the band play well as always. No complaints otherwise. :)

The crowd got a bit rough at some points, so I was glad to be on the barrier just right of Brian. Apparently two girls were fighting behind us & towards the end, people started MOSHING!!! I Thought that died 10 years ago, LOL, but apparently not! I heard similar stories from other travelling Placebo addicts, but at least the queue was friendly. Had a great time meeting a few new faces (both from PFWW & some not on here) and seeing old friends. Plus, the view of the Toronto Harbour & skyline made for some beautiful snapshots, which could've only been made nicer by that elusive thing called SUNSHINE, but alas, cold & rainy weather seem to abound this leg of the tour!

Afterwords, security out back was being very strict, so we never did get a chance to meet any of them, BUT I did get a second handshake off Steve just before the group bow during the encore! It felt like he held my hand longer than in Boston! At first I thought it was me doing that as I was hoping he had a drumstick for me, but then I let go & he was still hanging on! He did this with someone else that night, too, so I don't think I was imagining things!

This was the last show I'll have taken any video , as Brian makes me feel like a naughty schoolgirl, LOL, so it's just not worth it! Plus, since I don't actually look at my phone while filming, most of the time I was shooting the ceiling! How I managed NOT to do that while I saw Boy George in Toronto earlier this year, I do not know but during Exit Wounds I've got six minutes of ceiling with Brian occasionally playing peek-a-boo at the bottom of the frame, LOL! Yeah, enough's enough Princess Molko! I give up! You win!  ;)  <3Meanwhile, my camera died, but I did manage to snap a few pics, which I'll try to post before I leave for my last two shows of this tour.

All in all, the band did a fantastic job, despite the unbalanced guitar mix, but of all the shows I've seen so far this tour it was probably my least favourite. Perhaps it was a combo of things with Brian being quiet, the guitar being loud, the audience being rough &/or me being there are 1.5 hours of sleep, but it was a weird night for me. Good but weird nonetheless.

PS - Wasn't so thrilled with the opener, Moth & the Flame, initially in Boston, but upon second listen in Toronto, they began to slowly grow on me....

PPS - There's ONE new shirt for the North American tour. It's the LLL logo with a figure in it & tour dates on the back. I'll be uploading a pic of it shortly.
